Tebet Subdistrict Water Resources Implementation Unit (SDA) personnel, South Jakarta revitalized water channels on Jalan Tebet Dalam I, Tebet Barat Urban Village.

Tebet Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Field Coordinator, Erwin said it is a follow-up to the results of the 2023 Regional Development Planning Forums (Musrenbang).

"We use U-ditch to accommodate water in large quantities and to make channel structure stronger," he expressed, Tuesday (7/16).

He explained the new U-ditch installation with dimensions of 60 centimeters was conducted over a length of 180 meters involving eight personnel from the Tebet Sub-district SDA Unit.

"To make it easier to install the U-ditch, we use a hoist," he explained.

It has been ongoing since July 12, 2024, and is targeted for completion three months ahead.

"Hopefully, after it is done, it can smoothen water flow and minimize flooding," he hoped.

The work received appreciation from one of the residents, Samuel (46).

"It is indeed the residents' aspiration to prevent flooding, especially when there is high-intensity rain," he stated.
